U.S. Soccer and Nike unveiled the new Men’s and Women’s National Team away kit, a striking red, white and blue design that will first be worn by the MNT against Mexico on April 2 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

USA-Mexico, Presented by AT&T, Kicks off Wednesday in Glendale, Ariz.

The U.S. Men’s National Team faces rival Mexico for an international friendly on Wednesday, April 2, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. The match kicks off at 8 p.m. Arizona Time (11 p.m. ET) and will be broadcast live on ESPN, WatchESPN, UniMas and ESPN Deportes Radio. Fans can also follow the match on Twitter @ussoccer.

Klinsmann Appoints Former World Cup Champion Berti Vogts as U.S. MNT Special Advisor

U.S. MNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has appointed former World Cup winner Berti Vogts to be a Special Advisor to the U.S. Men’s National Team from now through the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Vogts will aid in the development of training plans, help prepare scouting reports, and travel to observe matches of the USA’s opponents in the lead-up to the tournament and in Brazil.

Jozsef Michna Receives Eddie Pearson Award

Jozsef Michna, a longtime FIFA assistant referee and State Referee Administrator in Florida, has received the prestigious Eddie Pearson Award for his years of service with the U.S. Soccer Referee Program. He was recognized at a March 22 ceremony in Chicago.

Forward Julian Green’s Change of Association Approved by FIFA

Bayern Munich forward Julian Green’s application to FIFA for a one-time change of association was approved Monday, and he is now eligible to play for the U.S. Men’s National Team. The dual citizen of the United States and Germany has been invited in preparation for the USA’s next game against Mexico on April 2.
